Yes, it's starting to turn cooler out. I'm still working on my storm windows. The ones I threw together last year were pitiful. Of course then it was already cold and they were done in a big hurry. This time I'm taking my time and doing them right so they won't have to be remade again. And, wouldn't you know it. My husband finally found a way to control the deer and grasshoppers from invading the garden a little too late. At least we'll know what to do next year when we plant again. We had tried soap and different mixtures that were in those gardening magazines. Not all of them worked and the ones that did only worked for a couple of days. Finally, I think in desperation, he leaned a few lengths of window screen across each row and wallah! (is that how you spell that?). No more problems with either the deer or the grasshoppers invading and eating all the veggies. At least the ones that survived them the fist time.
