Snow

Think about snow
Ever seen a snowflake fall?
Or see a leaf break off a tree to float on the air?
Like a feather in a gentle breeze
The snowflakes fall by the billions
Each completely different from the other
Have you ever wondered how there can be so many of the same
Yet so many differences?
Beautiful octagons
A little like natures fingerprints
But only for a moment
The trouble with snowflakes is the least hint of warmth
They're gone
As if they had never been
You may only see snow as a wet, cold nusiance
I see it another way
In the spring it transforms itself to running streams
And water for the roots of a flower garden to grow
Just like summer rains
Where would we and our planet be without the snow?
Just desert
Waterless, dry
So next time it snows just turn your heat up a notch
Pour yourself a hot cup of tea and honey
And watch with amazement while nature silently takes care of us all
